eloveadvice.net is a blog run by Clay Andrews and Mika Maddela. This blog is here to give answers to common questions we have received from people over the years. If you’d like your question answered, please feel free to write in :)
We also run a relationship advice blog that goes into a bit more detail on some issues we touch on here.
Why We Made a Love Advice Blog:
Relationships are a vital part of most people’s lives. The relationships we have often rank among the most important things we hold close to use. Right up there with our career, family, and friends.
Sadly, many people suffer from an array of relationship problems that lead to break ups, divorce, or dissatisfying “settling” for less than they deserve.
That’s why we’ve put this little blog together to help people navigate through the often confusing and challenging relationship problems they may encounter.
We give out love advice based on working on understanding yourself and your partner and working on personal development from the inside out. Why focus on yourself? Well, because you are really the only variable in your relationship that you can control.
Some love advice topics that are covered here on the website are:
Insecurity in Relationships – Insecurity leads to a lot of people acting in small and petty ways toward their significant other. Whether that’s cutting them down or berating them so that they are both “on the same level” or trying to control and micro-manage every detail or each others lives.
Jealousy in Relationships – The green-eyed monster of jealousy whispers things in your ear about how your partner must be conspiring against you, or about how you’re not good enough for them and how they’ll leave you at the first opportunity. Jealousy is something that many people deal with and we’re addressing that here too.
Trust in Relationships – Trust is the foundation of a successful relationship. Without trust, insecurity and jealousy start to fester and tear the relationship apart. Aside for addressing the problem, it’s also important to address the solution, and that is exactly what trust is in relationships.
Long Distance Relationships Advice – Relationships can be extremely difficult, but adding distance to the mix can make them even more challenging. I’ve been involved in a long distance relationship in the past, and I’ve developed a few ways to make it work. I’d like to share those here.
Relationship Breakdowns – It is a sad reality that many people tend to put off working on their relationship until it is falling apart. A small problem in the beginning may have been left ignored until it got out of hand. This section is about repairing the relationship from these breakdowns.
Relationship Psychology – Individual people are difficult to understand. Mixing another person into the equation and trying to get along well together can be even more challenging. We take a look at relationships from a psychological and personal growth angle rather than trying to memorize an series of “hack” or “tactics” to patch over the problem and continue ignoring it.
Q&A Save My Relationship Column – If you have a question, let us know so that we can address it in our advice column.
There are a lot of people out there struggling with their relationship and experiencing many kinds of conflict or difficulties. I just want you to know that you can overcome whatever relationship problems you may be experiencing. I’ve spoken to many people over the years who have turned seemingly hopeless situations around, and there is no reason why you can’t either.
Sure, the changes may not come overnight, but as long as you are committed to taking one small step at a time and continuously moving in a positive direction, you can break free from the past and achieve a better relationship with both yourself and your partner.
Take Care,
Clay Andrews
